WFA Industry review, findings and recommendations
A review of the Actions recently released by WFA to the industry aimed at supporting the sector's recovery and restoring profitability and asset values.
Winemakers' Federation of Australia President Tony D'Aloisio led a discussion on 33 recommended Actions recently released by WFA to the industry aimed at supporting the sector's recovery and restoring profitability and asset values.
The Actions included initiatives to grow the demand opportunity for Australian wine, accelerate the correction to domestic supply, work with the national wine retailers on a more fair and transparent domestic marketplace, and reform to the WET rebate to return it to its original policy intent.
This session enabled delegates to engage directly with WFA leadership and to hear more on the key issues and proposals. It also included opportunities for questions and will be moderated by Wine Australia Chairman George Wahby. Further information on the Actions and background documents including an independent analysis of industry dynamics and profitability can be found at www.wfa.org.au.
